Overview
Finance Analyst - Central London Consumer Additions are working closely with a global FMCG brand based in Central London who are looking for a Finance Analyst with a commercial mindset to join their successful team. Responsibilities: Ensure the brand analytical tools are kept up to date and in place to facilitate period end based analytical review. Perform analytical review of P&L and balance sheet vs forecast, prior year and budget and investigate / report on areas of variance. Support the Central Finance function with query resolution as required during the close process. Assist in the preparation of supporting documents to allow review with local and corporate management teams including P&L summaries, variance analysis vs Plan, Forecast and Prior year. Maintain and publish weekly reports to allowing the tracking against the latest forecast and track performance against key actions / initiatives. Other forecasting requirements on an ad-hoc basis as directed by the Finance Manager Annual budgeting process (process in line with forecast) Support the Senior Analyst in the preparation of the brand budget submissions, taking into account the Go To Market strategies already agreed and the planned strategic developments for future seasons as directed. Ensure that the financial controls manual that exists within the brand group is kept up to date and that controls are monitored on a timely basis. Other Duties Support the Senior Analyst with other ad-hoc duties including the Seasonal Pricing and Go To Market processes Creation and maintenance of price lists in SAP Any other duties as reasonably requested Knowledge and Skills Required Degree qualified in a relevant subject Numerate with strong analytical skills Ability to communicate and work successfully across the organisation/regions Highly motivated, self-starter full of initiative Team player Interest in completing finance qualifications (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) Strong Excel skills (Vlookup, linked workbooks, Pivot tables) a must MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
