Overview
A global tier 1 investment bank is looking for a Legal Entity Controller to join their international controller’s team at one of their London based offices. Candidates should be fully qualified accountants with impeccable academic results and significant exposure to reputable financial services, legal entity control and financial reporting. THE JOB Specifically your responsibilities will include: Act as Financial Controller for specific entities within the bank Ensure that all activities are correctly accounted for under relevant accounting standards Perform financial control tasks throughout entities, ensuring that they are robust and effective Produce monthly and quarterly financial accounts for the senior management team Prepare annual statutory accounts, primarily under IFRS, and be the face for an external auditors Assess the impact of continual change within reporting standards Take the lead on several projects within the controller team including business acquisitions YOU To be considered for this job, you will have the following experience: Qualified Accountant (ACA preferred) Sustained experience with financial services organisations, with solid understanding of financial products Excellent understanding of financial reporting under IFRS and also USGAAP Up-to-date with new accounting standards (IFRS 9, 15 and 16) Great technical and systems knowledge Excellent Excel abilities Self-motivated and ambitious for a career as an accounting professional within Financial services Competent at manipulating large sets of data and using Excel Works well within a team, has good communication skills/soft skills, adaptable and quick to learn This opportunity offers a fantastic package and internal progression, with a great level of responsibilities early on.
