Overview

This client is global law firm with offices in key business centres across the Americas, Asia and Europe. The firm employs approximately 2000 lawyers. Their London office has a headcount of circa 800 and offices in the City. They are currently recruiting for a Financial Reporting Analyst to join their team Responsibilities include Undertake projects to improve the financial reporting capability of the Firm at local and global levels. Produce periodic financial reports for both internal and external purposes. Provide analytical support to various fee earner statistical performance measurement calculations and assist with on going queries Provide support to the users of the Finance Systems within the Accounts team, ensure system and data integrity and assist the practice groups with ad hoc reporting requirements Prepare financial reports for clients to include but not limited to matter management information (time and billing data) and audit comfort letters. Build, enhance, and execute ad hoc financial reports using SQL, Excel, and other tools; Act as the primary local contact in relation to financial reporting issues both internally and externally Assist the global analytics team with client economic reporting, practice area reporting, and analysis of performance data. Prepare process workflows and results of business analysis; Create and deliver system training for all users of the firm's financial business systems; Ongoing SQL training to the wider Accounts team; Undertake additional duties and / or projects in conjunction with the above as deemed appropriate by senior management in the firm. Candidate Profile Proven experience of working within an Accounts Department, developing Aderant or similar Practice Management Systems within the UK, in a professional services environment. In depth knowledge of Aderant front-end functionality, table structure and balancing procedures. Strong development experience and interest in Excel, SQL and Crystal. Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with both internal and external clients.
