Site Factory Manager – Chilled Food Location: Yorkshire Salary: £80-100,000 benefits career opportunities The Site Factory Manager is responsible for all aspects of manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, finance, HR, technical and product development performance at this impressive large food manufacturing site. This is a leadership role that supports the commercial requirements of the business, by providing for safe, reliable, flexible and cost efficient manufacturing capability. Consistently delivering against quality standards and customer service expectations are critical elements of this role. We are seeking an outstanding individual with in impressive career trajectory to date who can demonstrate inspirational leadership skills in a change environment. We are looking for candidates with fresh and chilled food manufacturing experience. The role: Develop and implement the site strategy and budget Drive the site Operational performance and Continuous Improvement plan to constantly improve and hence deliver against a best in class benchmark Lead the site Operations team to identify and manage improvements to technology, culture, capability and operating systems to deliver a best practice and reliable operation Responsibility for employee engagement and change programmes at the site Manage, Review, Control and continually seek to improve against the site Operating Budget, ensuring a proactive management of actual and potential variances Role model business principles and values and drive improvement in leadership skills and capability through effective coaching and mentoring and the development of effective education Ensure ‘continuous improvement’ thinking is the basis for all team operations and the tools within it are understood and used whenever appropriate Relentlessly pursue adherence and improvement to Daily, Weekly and Monthly balanced scorecard performance standards and expectations Ensure all Corporate Quality and H&S procedures and operational standards are in place, understood, and compliance is achieved Ensure key processes of S&OP are effectively implemented and form a key part of the way we work Together with functional Managers, set site and functional operational targets to meet site strategic Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety & Environment, Motivation agendas Interface and provide appropriate leadership around community issues and events of relevance The person: Degree educated or equivalent Impressive experience and a strong career trajectory to date in leading manufacturing performance in a fast moving manufacturing business within the fresh or chilled food category. Demonstrable and intuitive knowledge around: The fundamentals of good manufacturing practice · Process improvement and optimisation · Reconfiguration and imbedding of new or enhanced technology · Managing Costs and Variance in a manufacturing environment · The motivators and engagement levers for shop floor based performance · A track record of improving and sustaining business performance through developing teams and process. · Experience as a coach and/or mentor · Demonstrated project management experience · Financial Acumen and high level of comfort around P&L and Balance Sheet Management · Experience in managing the Employee Relations Agenda and managing change · Experience in interfacing with the broader Supply Chain function and a high level of capability around managing relationships and outcomes with Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Logistics, Purchasing and Customer Service.
