Overview
Sourcing Manager – Major / Strategic Projects £50k to £60k DOE, excellent benefits and working environment, up to 18% total pension. Reading, Berkshire How do you fancy a role that will offer high levels of variety in a project environment that will see you delivering one or two projects per year? If this sounds like procurement utopia to you we want to talk with you On the back of a transformation process we are seeking highly motivated procurement professionals to deliver on major projects across the business as part of the major projects team. This is a role that will see you working across multiple categories to deliver sourcing activities of large, complex and high value projects across the business. Due to the nature of the role we are seeking professionals with excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills at all levels across end users and also a large commercial function. You will also need great project management skills from a project sourcing perspective. The ideal candidates will have prior experience of delivering complex, high value projects. The anticipated spend you will manage over one to two projects per year is typically in the region of £55m to £100m in value and will span multiple areas of spend in any given project. What you will need: Experience in the delivery of procurement sourcing in high value complex projects. Excellent stakeholder relationship building skills. Great communicator at all levels. Ideally MCIPS qualified or working towards (we will consider qualified by experience) Prince 2 project management qualifications or similar would be an advantage. High levels of commercial acumen.
