Overview

Morgan Hunt are delighted to be assisting a North London education and training provider with the recruitment of a permanent Financial Accountant. Based at their North London office with excellent transport links this role will report to the Head of Financial Accounts and be responsible for the effective preparation of financial accounts. The Financial Accountant role will include but by no means limited to: Ensuring that the General Ledger is correctly maintained Maintaining the Fixed Asset Reconciliations Prepare and maintain the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts Monitor and review bank reconciliations, Petty Cash reconciliations, sales ledger reconciliations and purchase ledger reconciliations to ensure that they are being maintained correctly. Undertake a regular review of the fixed asset register. Produce the required Audit Documentation to support the balance sheet reconciliations and respond appropriately to all audit queries. Assist the Head of Financial Accounts in the year end processes. Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls. Undertake tax and compliance activity in general - VAT Returns The ideal Financial Accountant will be a CCAB qualified and have previous experience of financial accounts preparation. Experience of Further education and training is desirable although strong reconciliation experience is essential.
