This Award-Winning environmental Consultancy is looking to recruit a Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer for an exciting Remediation project near Reading. Applicants will require experience in Site and Ground Investigations , site remediation and environmental monitoring, as well as Subsurface Services Coordination.You will oversee works undertaken, overseeing the diverse range of contractors on site and be responsible for liaising with the client. This is a multi-disciplined role that encompassed a broad range of responsibilities associated with the technical, operational & commercial management of both site and office operations. It is an important role on a large project and will require security clearance which will be provided, but we would welcome applicants with clearance already in place. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a leading consultancy.It is essential that applicants have the ability to multitask and keep well organised as well as communicate effectively in a variety of written and verbal formats with a wide range of internal and external clients and bodies. Applicants should have a Relevant degree or experience with circa, 5 years previous experience in working as an Environmental Engineer, Geo Environmental engineer or similar This would be a great opportunity to join a forward thinking, expanding business with an excellent internal culture and a desire to deliver the best service to their clients. The role will be undertaken on a Contract basis initially for 3-4 months starting mid January, but the project is due to run for 2 years so extensions could occur. Key Responsibilities · Provide technical support and management of remediation and consultancy activities as undertaken · To keep fully abreast of development and changes through reading technical paper, magazines and attendance on appropriate courses and seminars. · Ensuring ongoing relationships with key clients is maintained. · Tender management, in consultation with director, design and price such works utilising others in support as necessary. · Ensure full compliance with the companies Environmental Permits either directly or through delegation ensuring we complete all necessary returns. · Ensure regular review of remediation method statement and site-specific tasks to complete compliant works. Qualifications · Applicants should have a Relevant degree or experience with circa, 5 years previous experience in working as an Environmental Engineer or similar role. · Ideally you will be a Member of a relevant Chartered organisation or working towards · Hold a relevant CSCS qualification and a Full driving licence . · SC Clearance preferred but not essential Rate will be based on experience.
