Epson are seeking to recruit a driven and solution-focused SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) Consultant. Reporting into the SAP Technical Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining and monitoring the interfaces between Epson's SAP systems and internal / external partner systems. Other responsibilities include: resolving incidents, evaluating, sizing and implementing change requests and new integration solutions. This role is based out of our Sales and Marketing Offices, in Hemel Hempstead, UK with possible Ad-hoc travel around Europe. Key Responsibilities: Design and Develop interfaces: Design and develop interfaces with our internal and external partners based on standards and specifications defined by / or with the partners, using SAP Cloud Platform Integrator. Design iflows and interfaces using connectors. Develop scripts to complement the integration process. Configure required connectivity, adhering to security standards and authentication concepts In conjunction with the SAP Functional and Technical Teams, translate proposed business processes and changes into the correct integration technical solutions. Document processes and applications. Review the design and configuration work of other internal and external developers to identify and resolve integration issues with related functionality. Perform risk analysis and mitigation. Review and propose changes to Integration landscape, aiming to simplify, standardise and optimise the landscape. Monitor Production interfaces and ensure proper functioning of interfaces, focusing on high reliability and ease of maintenance. Ensure the required levels of security are always respected. Ensure a high level of standardisation and re-usage of the installed interfaces. Monitor the Integration Platform throughout the working day for communication and translation errors and notify the business of problems that may have business impact. Testing: Coordinate testing with partners and functional specialists, creating proper test scenarios during the development stage. Support: Provide feedback on incidents, change requests or projects status' and requirements to your manager. Share the rotating schedule of 24/7 hours support for critical system failures. The 24/7 On Call service definition document describes which issues are in scope for 24/7 hours support and what quality of service can be expected. Ensure that production issues are investigated and resolved within the agreed SLAs. Ensure that change and helpdesk request for the above-mentioned applications are properly evaluated, sized and implemented. Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Essential: Extensive experience as an SAP Integration Consultant with end-to-end implementation project experience Strong hands on experience in developing custom interfaces with SAP Cloud Platform Integrator (CPI) Experience in building integration solutions between on premise and cloud application solutions Good working knowledge of standard adaptors (FILE, RFC, IDOC, JDBC etc.) Ability to propose solutions and challenge or support new requests confidently In depth knowledge of the core EDI Interfacing concepts, mapping, data formats such as EDIFACT, TRADACOM and X12 Familiarity with data connectivity technologies such as FTP, SFTP, HTTP, HTTPS, VAN and AS2. Application programming experience, Java knowledge preferred Experience with Groovy script and other scripting languages, SQL is also desirable Experience with Web technologies: (X)HTML/CSS, Javascript, AJAX Experience with XML and related technologies such as XSLT and XPath preferred Long term focus, completer-finisher who wants to see projects through to close and completion Proactive, with the flexibility to react quickly and positively to issues in the system Excellent communication skills required, will have close contact with all our European countries as well as our system provider.
