Overview
The Company Established, progressive,global company, sought after an employer of choice. The Location West End London The Role Financial Controller reporting in to Finance Director - management and statutory reporting. Maternity contract must be available immediately Take ownership of the London monthly and quarterly closing process and manage the delivery of management accounting pack on a timely basis. Lead and provide guidance and development to the London finance team of five. Ensure that department objectives are met and that the company's financial and strategic position is optimised for future changes and growth opportunities in alignment with the UK and Group strategy as developed by the Group CFO and London MD. Oversee major financial processes and provide guidance and support to the Finance Manager and Finance Director, i.e. annual audit, annual budget setting and in-year budget reviews. Work closely with department heads to gain a thorough understanding of the business pressure points and opportunities. Assist in ensuring that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth. Participate in systems changes / upgrades and provide control over the process for the London entity. Build exceptional relationships with stakeholders and form close relationships with the Managing Director and other senior executives and non-executives to grow the business. Improve and enhance the financial reporting process, and implement additional controls The ideal candidate will have knowledge of management and statutory reporting. Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification. Previous experience of managing & supervising a team Commercially astute, articulate and influential leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels. Exceptional communication skills at all levels. Strong IT skills, always being ahead of new technologies. Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making. Be able to commute to London Be available immediately and can commit to a long term maternity contract It is essential you have excellent Microsoft excel, access skills, advanced analytical skills, excellent presentation skills and an ability to work under pressure.
