Commercial Category Manager, £450 per day, 6 months, Central London Your new company Central Government Your new role Provide day to day management of the Professional Services/Consultancy category Support more senior members of the procurement team with any projects or requirements Provide specialist commercial advice to customers, helping to draft and inform specifications and statement of requirements, ensuring that they include appropriate deliverables, performance metrics and generate value for money for the Department over the life of the contract Engage with project teams that have requirements relating to the category you are managing - helping to establish needs, provide commercial support and to develop requirement pipelines Lead and support the commercial and contractual interaction with key suppliers, including supply chain early market support, engagement with key markets and suppliers. What you'll need to succeed You must have public sector experience You must have have consultancy and ideally professional services category experience. Ideally you will have central government experience What you'll get in return A competitive day rate.
