Overview
Meraki Talent’s industry leading Insurance client are looking for a Commercial Insurance Claims Handler This is a key role as you will collate all relevant information on claims ensuring that they are genuine, assessing validity in line with underwriting and claims standards while delivering excellent customer service. Responsibilities of the Position: Drive superior claims results for low complexity and exposure claims in personal or commercial lines of business by providing direction, technical guidance, and tracking and reporting on key metrics. Achieve customer satisfaction targets by building and maintaining relationships with internal colleagues, external customers and brokers, and analysing and resolving quality and customer service problems. Achieve best practices by reviewing claims files, identifying trends and recommending improvements. Manage corporate expenses by monitoring file allocations, resources and other expenditures to ensure appropriateness. Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and internal control requirements. Collate information from the correct sources to assess claims appropriately Ensure genuine claims are paid on time Asses claims in accordance with delegated authority Process claims in line with required service standard and philosophy Management of claims costs Challenge any anomalies including rejecting invalid claims. Data input Prepare insurance policy documentation within agreed SLAs and quality standard Collating and maintaining large amounts of data Maintain a robust control framework Background of the Position: Experience within Property, Motor, EL or PL Experience of following written instructions and data entry Strong communication skills to engage with various stakeholders across the business Understanding of risk Excellent organisational and administration skills Understand the different elements of claims - financial, medical, occupational and non-medical limits Exposure of waiver claims Enthusiastic and positive can-do attitude
