Commercial Underwriter - Bolton £28,000 Barker Munro Recruitment, a leading Insurance recruitment agency, is working with a fantastic insurance organisation who are currently looking to add to their commercial underwriting team with the appointment of a Commercial Underwriter. As the Commercial Underwriter you will deliver on trading team targets through profitable underwriting of commercial risks. Responsibilities of the Commercial Underwriter: Underwrite products for SME customers profitably, accurately, consistently and in line with established underwriting practices Identify the right risks for the company, deciding the terms using all information available Develop credibility with brokers and customers, to help win and retain business Put sustained effort into building influential relationships internally and externally Demonstrate contribution to loss ratio control by effectively implementing branch underwriting controls Contribute to the development of peers by coaching and acting as a reference point to assist in decision making Requirements: Commercial experience is essential Strong trading capability - commercial awareness, negotiation skills, ability to build strong broker relationships Pragmatic and confident decision maker Strong level of technical underwriting expertise Excellent risk assessment and risk management skills Package: Salary to £28,000 Annual Bonus scheme 23 days holiday 8 Bank Holidays Joint contribution pension scheme Flexible benefits package Discount on AXA products
