Senior Sous-Chef Wolfson College is looking for an outstanding Senior Sous Chef, with a solid, long-term track record of exemplary performance. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented chef with excellent cooking skills and strong management and leadership abilities who is ready to step up to the challenge of working in our large, distinguished College. Working to the Head Chef, you will help lead the team to deliver consistently outstanding catering services across the College and in a range of formats, including daily lunch and dinner for up to 200, formal dining for up to 200 on a weekly basis, VIP events, commercial events, buffets, and small prestigious lunches. Wolfson College is home to some of the most talented students and fellows in the world and is increasingly known as one of the most energetic, innovative, and welcoming scholarly communities in Oxford. The catering operation at the college is one of the largest in the University of Oxford. The team cater for over 600 students from 75 different countries, over 200 fellows, over 100 staff, and 800 common room members. The college is very proud of its commitment to delivering outstanding catering services. Our ingredient supply chain is focused on using high quality, locally produced ingredients with good, sustainable credentials. The college is seeking to appoint a candidate who will make a difference to the daily life of the fellows and visitors and who will support the Head Chef in the planning, development and delivery of an innovative, exciting food offer across a variety of outlets, including the college dining hall, buttery, conference venues and seminar rooms.
