Overview

A commercially focused opportunity based within a thriving TV company has arisen for a qualified individual. Working within a rapidly growing company who is a key player within the TV and media distribution business this position will provide the business with analytical and commercial support along with preparation of reports and forecasts. The role requires someone who has qualified within the last few years, who is technically strong and has an enthusiastic and commercially astute outlook. This is a great role for an individual who is looking for a varied role, is keen to learn and who wants to work within a dynamic and thriving organisation. You will need to have advanced Excel skills and be able to support business and investment appraisals. The role: - Financially review and appraise investments for new content; - Model funding for content investments and support decisions on suitable funding models; - Own the cash flow forecasting models, analysing any significant movements, providing detailed commentary; - Submit cash forecasts to group to include short term forecasts, annual reforecast and budget; - Develop exiting model on a continuous basis to improve working capital management; - Facilitate financing for productions through liaison with banks and production companies; - Forecast royalty returns for distribution sales of content; - Analyse historic investment performance and general content financial performance analysis; - Own the balance sheet forecast model; - Provision of analysis and reporting of various projects for the senior management and various stakeholders. The person: - Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with extensive analyst experience; - Experience gained within the media industry would be beneficial but a genuine passion for the industry is essential; - Advanced Excel skills; - Confident at building strong working relationships and comfortable to push back/challenge when required; - A working knowledge of investment appraisals would be an advantage; - Methodical, organised, proactive and positive attitude; - Excellent communication skills.
