Overview

You're an established Head of Information Security and you're totally at the top of your game. Whether it be InfoSec or Data Protection related - you absolutely know your stuff and you have a reputation for building strong, security functions and cultures at whatever firm you have worked at. Now, you're feeling a little under challenged in your current remit and you want to get your teeth stuck into something a little bit different something where you can have full ownership of building a brand new in-house security function from scratch Look no further. Working alongside an industry-leading business based here in Nottingham City Centre, this is a truly unique to join the organisation an design their in-house function from the ground up. To provide some context, the business currently have an InfoSec function, but its outsourced to a 3rd party. Due to on-going growth within their Notts tech function, they now feel it is the right-time to bring InfoSec team in-house, and this is where you come in This role is largely strategy and team management focused; it certainly won't suit a techie who wants to get their hands dirty or someone looking to get involved on the Architecture side What I'm looking for is a diligent and capable leader who can competently set strategic direction, manage a small team and essentially drive their info sec strategy to the next level. Reporting directly to the CIO you will play a lead role in ensuring that the firms data and applications are protected from InfoSec threats (both cyber and physical) whilst overseeing their compliance with GDPR and data protection best practice. Finally, you have unmatched knowledge of Privacy and Data Protection legislation. Ultimately, you will be the face of InfoSec across the business and be responsible for deliver a road-map of InfoSec enhancements. You'll also set the agenda and chair the Information Security Board and the Data Protection Board, providing regular updates to the wider business on all info sec related matters. Naturally you will have up to date technical knowledge of all things InfoSec and Data Protection focused and you'll be backed by a relevant accreditation whether it be CISSP, CISM, CISMP and you'll have an in depth understanding on the compliance side too (ISO27001, PCI DSS) As a business, these guys have a great reputation in the local market - retention is good and they treat their people really, really well.
