Job Description
Our Client are looking to expand our team, we require a Commercial and Domestic Gas Engineer. Whilst our offices are based in Berkshire our clients contracts are within the London area have greatly expanded and we are now looking for someone that will be based full time in London. A little about our client they were established 1998 and have grown from a small core team to a team of 31 directly employed staff (16 Engineers & 15 Administration staff), supported by a large subcontracted network. The core of the works expected for this new team member would be to carry out boiler and pipe work installations, maintenance, fault finding and repair works. We would ideally require an engineer that is able to work both independently and as part of a team, be a good team player and have a positive go-getting attitude to their work. Paperwork is as important as they work they do on-site as some of our customers require reports back same day as part of their operating systems. All of the our clients team are expected to complete paperwork immediately using their Samsung Note 8 mobiles, which is connected to our internal reporting system Clik 4 and certificate app Gas Engineer Software. Key responsibilities for the Commercial & Domestic Gas Engineer: * Works are completed as per works order if for any reason this cannot be done keeping the project manager in the loop so all changes can be documented * Ensuring that all Risk Assessments and Method statements are read, understood and followed prior to undertaking gas work safely in compliance with the Gas Safe standard and completing the appropriate documentation in full. * Ensuring that tools and equipment are correctly used and maintained * Ensuring that reports are completed using the Clik Jobs app, making note of any issues, remedial work and/or part details where required. Essential Experience required for the Commercial & Domestic Gas Engineer: * Our clients housing association contracts mean that we are often required to attend both commercial plant rooms and domestic properties at short notice, therefore, the ideal applicant would be confident with their diagnostic abilities with both Domestic and Commercial Gas appliances. Essential Qualifications and Skills required for the Commercial & Domestic Gas Role: * Domestic Gas: CCN1, CEN WAT, CKR1, HTR1, CPA1 * Commercial Gas: CDGA1, CIGA1, CODNCO1/COCN1, CORT1, ICPN1 * Full UK driving licence* * At least 3 years' experience in both Domestic and Commercial Gas Benefits offered to the successful candidate: * Salary between 38,000- 45,000 Basic * Company uniform provided * Van provided * Samsung Note 8 * Call out 1 in 9 * 28 Days holiday including 8 Bank Holidays * Over time paid at 1 ½ out of hour works anytime, after 17:00 Monday to Friday. Double time after 00:00 Monday to Friday, all day Sunday. * 08:00 to 16:30 (not including the 30 minutes each way) Monday to Friday, overtime maybe available but is not compulsory apart from the call out rota * Mostly London based, however if for any reason there was no London work available (We would hope this is not often the case)
