Overview

My client is one of the world’s leading names in sports betting technology and trading. This role is working with their rapidly growing B2B operation which supplies real-time pricing and sports trading capabilities to sportsbooks around the globe. The Role Reporting to the Head of Commercial, the Commercial Manager will lead on a wide range of commercial matters including contractual negotiations, marketing communications & PR, financial reporting, product pricing and tender submissions. This role will give you unique opportunity to learn how commercial and strategic concepts are applied in a rapidly evolving sector and the responsibility to make a tangible and valued contribution to one of the most respected and trusted names in sports betting. Key responsibilities Key responsibilities include: Ownership of the company’s relationships with data and content suppliers from across the industry, including conducting contractual negotiations, invoicing, budgeting and the evaluation of new rights and content. Becoming the internal authority and point-of-contact on betting data rights and ensuring the Group is well placed to mitigate the impact of rights volatility on our global partner base. Leading the execution and project management of the marketing communications plan, liaising with internal spokespeople and external agencies and suppliers. Management of the product price list, including the regular review and optimization of price levels according to development of product and cost factors, and changing market dynamics. Developing and maintain sales collateral (including presentations, leaflets, videos) for pitches and industry trade shows in collaboration with our third party creative agency. Providing pricing / commercial support to sales team in structuring deals to fit needs of enterprise customers, while maximising value. Commercial contract management - sales support in completing deal document, liaising with in-house legal counsel for assistance as required; providing early warning of contract renewal and follow-on recommendations for pricing / commercial approach to renewal. Assisting in the production of formal tender submissions and on-boarding agreements, which underpin the relationships we have with partners and suppliers. Ad hoc financial analysis to assist in supplier negotiations. Leading development of revenue / cost budgets as part of corporate annual planning process, ensuring consistency and co-ordination of targets / KPIs and budgets across business functions; review budgets and latest forecasts quarterly and recommend adjustments to ensure optimal resource allocation / efficiency in response to changing circumstances; production and distribution of monthly KPI scorecard. Assist SBU strategy development - targeted marketing sizing and competitive analysis projects; financial analysis of strategic investment alternatives, including alliances and M&A targets. Ideal Candidate Requirements At least two years’ professional experience is preferred, but not as important as a genuine interest in the business world and an insatiable appetite to learn how commercial and strategic concepts are applied in the betting and gaming industry. The candidate will be able to evidence sound commercial acumen, be it through prior work placement or similar. A 2:1 degree or higher in any discipline. Excellent written and oral communication skills. A sound understanding of Microsoft office.
