Overview
The Business The business provides quality peer reviewed open access journals to thousands of physicians. These include congress reviews as well as breaking news, analysis and access to information of unparalleled quality. The journals span across a wide range of therapeutic areas including Neurology, Gastroenterology and Urology, with all the publications and articles freely available and accessible to our online community to read and share. The content reviews the leading congress within the therapeutic area and are supported by internationally renowned editorial board members. The Job We are looking for a graphic designer with up-to-date knowledge, who will work closely with our Design Manager and form part of our growing design team to help deliver design solutions with a high visual impact. You will work across a variety of our divisions. This will include delivery of our publications, developing our accompanying websites, corporate identity and also an opportunity to support internal projects for our developing company. The role also includes but is not limited to… Take responsibility for various design projects from concept to completion Lead the full creative production of GOLD magazine. (front cover, infographics, editorial layouts, marketing collateral etc) Working with the Design Manager to help develop the team Helping deliver all publications on time to a high standard Great foundation in creating infographics/data visualisation and illustrations Basic editing of pre-publication promo videos, interviews videos and congress highlights Delivering creative design solutions across all touch points: social, print, web and experimental Collaborate with team members to cultivate a solid body of work Maintain brand consistency across the work produced Support with ad-hoc in-house projects for other departments Continuously communicate with various departments such as editorial and client services Work closely with the editorial team to create outstanding storytelling, both visual and written Who fits the bill? Proven graphic design experience through client commissioned work / employment Creative thinker, be inquisitive, bold and push the boundaries of conventional thought A portfolio that demonstrates your ability to create clean, corporate design The ability to understand and interpret a brief Highly proficient in industry leading software (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) Experience in basic video editing / motion graphics (Preferable not mandatory) Able to work to tight deadlines Excellent time managements skills, and a proven record of delivering projects on time Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously Confident at articulating your design process to help 'non-designers’ understand Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative without hands-on guidance 'Gold Medal’ winner mentality
