Policy and Campaigns Manager, London, £35-£45k excellent benefits Our client, seeking a Policy and Campaigns Manager, has been established for more than 30 years and attracts members nationally and internationally from within its sector. It provides insight, influence, networks and benchmarks for its members and its research and policy work informs its thought leadership campaigns, enabling our client to be a key influencer of local and national government. As the Policy and Campaigns Manager you will be working with committees in this commercial membership organisation with a significant interest in commercial property. You will be organising roundtables, workshops and seminars related to key campaigns and you’ll manage significant projects. The Policy and Campaigns Manager will Forge new networks and build stakeholder relationships ensuring our client’s reputation for thought leadership is maintained and enhanced. The post holder will work closely with the marketing and events teams to align and position published content across our client’s organisation and externally. To be considered for the Policy and Campaign Manager role you will have at least 5 years relevant experience from a policy/public affairs environment and will: Have a demonstrable track record of building compelling case via research/evidence to a variety of audiences including membership, government and media Have Press experience - liaising with agency and commenting on public policy and govt announcements Be highly influential in engaging with and influence senior industry professionals Interpret complex information and analyse the impact on the commercial property sector Have excellent project management skills and a history of managing projects from concept to conclusion Have excellent presentation and communication skills Have a good degree Our ideal candidate may also have people management experience (the post holder will manage a small team) and may have existing relationships in key departments e.g. Treasury/MHCLG/BEIS. The final icing on the cake would be an existing understanding of the retail property and/or retail sector.
