Our company has a keen focus on our culture and we go to great lengths to ensure that we all enjoy what we do POSITION SCOPE Create, develop and analyse sales forecast data by SKU at customer and sold-to level within all areas of the organisation, in order to achieve maximum contribution in terms of demand forecasting. Deliver detailed analytics and reporting that drives improvements for Tate & Lyle in customer service, efficiency or cost. Provide training and specialist support for software applications used in the business. POSITION STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES AND KEY DELIVERABLES Create, develop and maintain all sales forecasts across multiple time horizons and levels of aggregation in collaboration with the Sales Department. Development of the annual sales volume budget in collaboration with the Sales Department. Review, identify and resolve key forecast inaccuracies. In depth analysis of historical sales data for trends, bias, promotions, seasonality, demand peaks, etc. Produce KPI’s for FA, bias as well as ad-hoc reports. Governance of systems master data ensuring it is correctly maintained. Innovation in the demand planning function (e.g. statistical forecasting, customer collaborative forecasting, S&OP process, etc.). Use of various software including IBP, SAP AC, and BI to aid reporting and analysis. Systems to be learnt and then skills shared around the business. DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Forecasting With Sales Department S&OP Planning: regular interaction to agree the forecast of the next 18 months accounting for seasonality, major promotions, customer behaviour and business strategy. New business analysis, PIPO, phasing. Regular reporting to highlight variation to forecasts, demand patterns and be the face of Planning with Sales. Supply Chain & Business Collaboration Act as gatekeeper to Supply Planning ensuring high quality forecasts. Create connections with Supply to ensure the correct decisions are made (flagging risks, updating major changes). Active involvement in the NPD process. Own demand for the UK in our Thames office, be the main point of contact in signaling important information that could impact the business. Support our Portuguese Demand function when required. Business Systems Efficiency Act as a super-user for the IBP tool. Regular communication with system specialists to continuously improve functionality of software. Willing to challenge people in the business at any level. Effective team player. ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCES Experience of planning in a busy and demanding commercial environment. Demonstrated capability for taking initiative and accountability. Proven customer service focus. Track record of working to strict deadlines and with little supervision. Experience of IBP, SAP AC, and BI (or similar systems) preferred. ESSENTIAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Degree in Management, Maths, or Supply Chain. Other similar degrees could be considered. Very high level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel.
