Amazon Shipping Amazon shipping offers Amazon's logistic capabilities as a product and service. Amazon Shipping's first customers are sellers in the UK, offering to ship their domestic volume using our delivery network. Amazon Shipping is looking to hire an experienced leader to join the Program and Operations team. You will be a natural self-starter who is comfortable supporting large, complex cross functional programs and will have a true hands-on approach, strong program management and analytical skills, and be an effective communicator. You will be part of the core team that will be managing the Amazon Shipping business and operations across all legs of the supply chain (first mile, middle mile and last mile). You will also be leading the development of our operational product to deliver a world class customer experience, and the design and implementation of new operating solutions to enable the delivery of strategic targets (service, growth, cost). You will have a true hands-on approach, operational inclination, strong leadership skills and the ability to build and leverage relationships across a wide stakeholder group to generate creative solutions to industry level strategic problems. As this position involves regular interaction with senior leadership (Directors, VPs), you need to be comfortable communicating robustly at that level whilst also working directly with various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization across the Amazon business. Responsibilities: Demand Planning for UK -Ship with Amazon (SWA), with stakeholders across First Mile Sellers, Middle Mile and Last Mile Logistics Teams Identify, analyze and dive deep on drivers for forecast inaccuracies and improve the same based on data driven decision making. Run Simulations and scenarios for Amazon Logistics Delivery Station Route Planning, and work with Delivery Stations to align capacity against demand for 13 week planning horizon Improve Volume Forecasting and Capacity Planning process across multiple stakeholders from Sales to last mile execution. Work with SWA Field Operations Team to understand ground ops concerns and use that to improve forecasting process. Deep dive on how Delivery Station routing happens on ground and understand levers to optimize pickups Understand drivers for forecasting inaccuracies and be a real creative problem solver to fix them in a sustainable way Communicate and collaborate with Product and Program Teams to improve demand planning Function and drive tech requirements Work with Ops to understand functional requirements, while driving Tech improvements with Product Teams in the form of enhancement to existing tools/ building new tools for the business Program Manage Tech improvements with US Tech and Product Teams. Work with SFP (Seller fulfilled prime)/ Tech and SWA config Teams to understand all levers impacting volume forecasting and include the same within the planning cycle. Work with Network Topology and First Mile Teams to build an optimal First mile topology, which optimizes for cost and cost.
