Overview
UX Manager needed for one of the largest fashion/ retail brands within the UK. You'll lead the UX team made up of UX & UI Designers and UX Researchers who work across the entire product lifecycle on attraction, engagement, conversion and retention opportunities, across collaborative multidisciplinary teams, solving complex customer challenges in the world of fashion retail. The role: You'll work directly alongside the Lead Product Owner, and with Product Owners, Software Engineers and Data Analysts in each team, and Brand Managers across all the different brands to lead the creation of elegant and practical digital experiences that customers love. You'll build compassion and empathy with their customers through research to deeply understand them and their needs. You'll have direct oversight from the UX Researchers, who have the responsibility for planning, moderating, analysing and sharing their research and then ensuring all these insights are taken into design, prototyping and testing cycles through your team of UX & UI Designers. You'll proactively seek input from stakeholders, incorporating business needs into your teams compelling design concepts, iterating these ideas with customers and testing these in the market as quickly as possible. You'll oversee the production of concepts and prototypes at multiple levels, advising your team when to create pixel-perfect designs, and when to make simple sketches and prototypes using the latest visual and interaction design tools like Sketch, InVision and Principle. Requirements You have 2 years of management experience in addition to 6 years of commercial UX/UI design and research experience. You're an experienced and competent people manager, who knows how to build high performing teams that deliver positive outcomes for both customers and businesses. You have successfully hired and retained people in previous teams, supporting their growth and development through continuous coaching, mentoring and training and performance management. You're experienced leading UX in cross-functional, agile product teams You have deep knowledge of UX, UI and Research best practices with a strong portfolio of case studies across web, mobile apps and other digital screens. You’re excellent at building relationships, networking, leadership and interpersonal skills at all levels. You have a strong working knowledge and experience of designing to HCI principles and accessibility rules. You're customer-focused and lead the way to research and incorporate customer insight into your team’s designs and a company’s decision making.
