Overview
Michelle Denny Recruitment is working in partnership with a creative business located in Suffolk, who is looking to hire a Workshop Production Manager. It’s a hands-on, fast moving, newly created position and the salary will reflect your experience, with a core starting range of around £30,000 - £40,000pa. It’s a busy, innovative and demanding environment where all stops need to be pulled out to ensure the client gets what they need, when they need it … not always easy The business is continually juggling projects, small through to enormous, but as they are all equally important, this design company needs someone who can manage the production of their multiple jobs, their workforce and constantly changing planning schedules effectively. Ideally, you’ll have experience of working hands-on in the construction, events, electrical, joinery, kitchen build or manufacturing industries. It’s hoped you’ll have a good understanding of shop floor management so you can keep the ebb and flow of staffing requirements, resourcing, material / parts ordering, delivery, goods-in, and the day-to-day workshop production running at capacity. You’ll work closely alongside the Owner of the business and Head of Design, managing operations, getting involved with planning, quality control, construction of the build, the physical movement of heavy materials and coffee making. Positive attitude is everything to this company and when things go array, they’ll need someone capable of holding it all together with a clear head and sense of humour.
