UX Designer - Contract - London - Financial Services UX Designer £550pwd 6 Month rolling Contract London £Competitive pwd Our client has been serving the households, businesses and communities of Britain for over 250 years. They offer a comprehensive range of financial products and services - including current accounts, savings, mortgages, loans and credit cards. Responsibilities The quality, creativity and delivery of UX design for the assigned themes within and associated products. Ensures outputs of teams are of high quality and are consistent with the brief and the brand Speaking to and researching customers to gain an unparalleled understanding of their requirements and motivations Increasing product and brand engagement and satisfaction ratings through designing a high quality, visually appealing and customer-centric digital experience Improving the usability of the system and therefore its acceptance by customers Managing the full lifecycle of UX design across multiple products and working effectively with all stakeholders to understand and reflect their perspectives at all stages Collaborates with stakeholders across other disciplines to concept and produce high quality, detailed deliverables that are consistent with the brief and the brand (e.g. scamps, wireframes, prototypes, sitemaps, user stories, journeys, personas etc.) Work with the business to clarify the requirements for a piece of work Provide detailed plans of UX work required for a project Where relevant review existing digital solutions and provide expert user experience analysis. Communicate the user experience to visual designers in order for the final look and feel to be created. Support the build/test team during the build phase to answer any outstanding questions KPIs in conjunction with the UX Design Lead Consults with key internal stakeholders - Innovation, Theme Leads, Build & Test teams, Strategy & Planning, Visual Design, Design Strategy, Copywriting, Informs UX Design Lead, Visual Design Lead, Editorial Team Lead, DCX Theme Leads, DCX Governance & Controls Essential Skills and Experience At least 5 years' experience in UX design for large scale projects in the Financial Services sector BSc or MSc in relevant area (Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Computing,…) Proficiency with essential design & business tools (Axure, inVision, Adobe CC, MS Office,…) Owns the design and documentation for the UX design process (and has a deep understanding of where it fits in to the overall journey). Knowledge of managing key stakeholders in the business who come from digital and non-digital backgrounds Good planning and organisational skills to ensure deadlines are managed Excellent written communication skills Understands when to escalate issues Ability to listen and learn Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team Desirable Understanding of HTML, CSS, JS
