THE OPPORTUNITY: Great Opportunity to join a well-established and growing business who are at the forefront of their chosen field. My Client is looking for a Production Manager to oversee the assembly of the client's products on time, on budget and with the renowned high level of quality their customers have come to expect. THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: Key responsibilities of the position will be To oversee fitting operation to ensure mechanical products are assembled in accordance with drawings, specifications and build procedures. Manage the manufacture of bespoke parts and modifications Encouraging and motivating the fitting team to offer innovative ideas to improve machine assembly. To meet deadlines with a high level of quality work Managing the ever changing priorities as the project continues. Ensure all health & safety procedure are adhered to. Attend meetings such as production hand over's, sales handovers, CI meetings and any other meetings that will improve the performance and output of you and your team Ensure that fitters have the following information - Description of work required, time allocated to complete the work, drawing or design to work to, relevant PPE equipment - ensuring that it is used, the skills required to operate any machines being used. EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE: Experience of managing, motivating and developing a team. Proven track record in mechanical fitting and assembly. Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills. Excellent problem solver, innovative and creative thinker. Self-motivated, self-starting and highly organised with the ability to work unsupervised. Ability to work on a variety of projects of varying duration. Adaptable to change, resilient, with a dynamic approach and ability to challenge the norm. Familiar with quality within projects ideally worked with ISO standards. Understanding of Health and Safety at work. Experience of lean manufacturing. Experience in Continuous Improvement Methodology.
