Job Description

We are currently seeking an Experienced Controls Engineer to join a rapidly growing family-run business that specialise in the standby power and energy efficiency markets. Our client has seen a strong growth rate over the last few years and as a result are looking to expand their team. As a Controls Engineer you will be attending customer sites as the Principal Controls/Commissioning Engineer, where you will be responsible for all equipment testing ensuring it functions are aligned with company regulations. Please note - traveling and overnight stays are regular features of the job. You will cover the Southern Region from Birmingham down to London/Kent (occasional national requirements) Key responsibilities and duties of this role... * Co ordinating testing and commissioning activities and providing advice on testing and commissioning procedures and documentation. * Coordinating all the associated trades as necessary; such as client's mechanical and electrical engineers, BMS control engineers, Electrical DNO, client's IT department * Monitoring progress, recording all test results, witnessing final testing and acceptance of equipment and compilation of all documentation for inclusion in the site test dossier. * Ensuring the safe testing and commissioning of completed installations to achieve the necessary plant performance in accordance with project programme requirements. * Carrying out hands-on handover training for client's site staff. Hours: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 16.30 (flexibility required) Requirements The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes and qualifications... * In depth experience of working as a Controls or Commissioning Engineer power generator industry * Strong practical electrical/mechanical engineering qualification & knowledge with LV power generation and distribution systems * Experienced in using ComAP & Deep Sea control systems (DSE) * Strong PLC Programming skills * Highly experienced in multi set and synch with mains controls (including design, installation and commissioning) * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Ability to work confidently and independently at customer sites * IT skills, fluent with Microsoft Office * Full UK Driving licence (essential Benefits * 40,000 - 45,000 * Company Vehicle and fuel card, Laptop and Phone * Over time available (overtime rates applicable) * 25 days annual leave, increasing through company loyalty programme * Overnight accomodation and food allowances payable * On call allowance * Death in service * Pension
