Research Grants Officer Alzheimer&39;s Society is the UK&39;s leading dementia charity. We provide information and support, improve care, fund research, and create lasting change for people affected by dementia. Position: Research Grants Officer Location: London Contract type: Full Time, Permanent Hours: 35 per week Salary: £25,300 to £30,459 depending on skills and experience plus London allowance of £3,600 Closing date: 26th March 2020 Interview date: TBC About the role We’re looking for a talented individual with a head for science and a strong desire to make a difference for people affected by dementia. This exciting role is based at Alzheimer’s Society in London and you will be part of a team of Research Grants Officers. The Society now spends £10 million annually on research activities. It is keeping up the pace and has committed to spending £100 million over the next decade with an additional £50 million to the new Dementia Research Institute. This increase in investment requires a strong team of Research Grants Officers to ensure that the Society invests this funding in the highest quality research with the greatest potential for people affected by dementia. Your role would be to manage our grant applications through our peer and lay review processes and then to support successfully funded researchers to manage their grants and maximise their impact. As well as contributing to the wider work of the Society’s Research and Development directorate. About you We’re looking for someone with a degree in science and an interest in medical research and healthcare, and have experience in research management, research administration or a similar role.
