Overview
The client is a sustainable fashion retailer that work in both the retail and technology sectors. They are based in the West End (Soho) and they are looking for a Financial Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. They are a sustainable fashion retailer and they have been running for about a year. They are growing rapidly and the role has come about, in order to deal with the large volume of workload. Client Details The client have two main sectors that they operate in (retail and technology). They are a fashion retailer that only sell clothes made from 100% recyclable materials, and they also produce technology that various other fashion retailers can use within their manufacturing process in order to make it more sustainable. It is an incredible business that is growing extremely quickly. Description The successful Financial Controller will: Timely and accurate preparation of monthly group management accounts Reporting/commentary on variances to budget / sales / KPI's Management of cash flow by tracking transaction and regularly reviewing internal reports Supervision of the Purchase and Sales ledgers Statutory Obligations - VAT/PAYE/PSA/P11D - Preparation and submission of returns Balance Sheet reconciliations All aspects of Payroll Assisting with the production of the statutory accounts Assisting the accountants with the year-end accounts Primary contact for the company on financial matters Involvement in the budgeting and forecasting process Accounting systems and processes improvement - including implementing accounting software Analysing financial data and close liaison with department managers to resolve issues Other Ad hoc duties as required Profile The successful Financial Controller will: Have excellent communication skills Have a real passion for the fashion industry Have good Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Vloookups, Summifs) Previous experience producing the monthly Management Accounts Previous experience doing stock reconciliations Previous experience automating processes and working in a sole-role Job Offer £35,000 - £50,000 Additional benefits
