Overview

A well established Freight Forwarder, at Heathrow is looking for a Sales Director You will be reporting to the Managing Director and be responsible for the strategic leadership of the Sales Team. Key Duties: ·Define and execute appropriate sales strategies; business development, marketing, technical and sales support programs to maximise sales and profitability. ·Oversee the creation of new business opportunities through the effective leadership of the team ·Generate and qualify own new business opportunities, by using sales skills, planning and effective relationship management ·Ensure that the Sales operation provides first class customer service to deliver on customer solutions ·Provide effective leadership to the Marketing team in order to create and implement a strategy for external communications and marketing. Enhance brand awareness of Freight Forwarding within the industry and to support the sales team to achieve their targets. ·Oversee and review the management of existing customer portfolios maximising opportunities to increase revenues ·Oversee CRM compliance ensuring the team fully maximize the tools available to measure performance levels though accurate and meaningful reporting ·Oversee the Internal Sales Department via the Business Support Manager (BSM), to provide an effective and robust internal sales activity Ensure new business sales Essential Requirements: Senior Manager/Director experience with a successful track record of leading a Business Development within freight forwarding ·Energetic, persuasive and well organized and able to demonstrate the ability to sell. ·Demonstrable experience of overseeing the generation of new business opportunities and relationship management ·Demonstrable experience of implementing commercial strategies to meet short term and long term opportunities ·Demonstrable success in achieving and exceeding new business sales targets though effective leadership skills ·Presentation skills ·Ability to build and maintain effective and credible relationships across the organisation with a view to seek feedback on improvements at all times ·Effective communication and negotiation skills ·Ability to influence others and build on common grounds
