We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Services Journalist/Reporter to join our Financial Crime Digest team in London. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic and have a desire to innovate in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will demonstrate initiative and find creative solutions to challenges. The candidate will welcome the opportunity to build networks and be a strong communicator. The Financial Services Journalist / Reporter will be responsible for: writing features and specialist pieces in the Financial Crime Digest. monitoring technical developments, press and media coverage, and country developments using open-source tools, and proprietary databases to identifying areas of interest for our readers. regular, ongoing contact with industry participants to seek their views on emerging trends/threats. supporting the Editor of the Financial Crime Digest with the development of content and considering associated services that may be of relevance to our readers. Assisting the editorial team to track readership data of the publication and provide executive team members with performance and statistics on a regular basis. Helping to maintain Aperio’s social media presence related to financial crime matters and support our thought-leadership in the area. The Financial Services Journalist / Reporter is required to have: impeccable written English and proven business writing skills. Proficiency in other languages is welcome; experience in business journalism and reporting is essential. Technical knowledge about financial crime issues including money laundering, bribery and corruption, tax evasion and sanctions risk is desirable; an outgoing and engaging personality and eager to pursue dialogue with a wide range of sources about current financial crime issues; excellent interviewing skills and the ability to secure high level interviews with industry experts; solid time management and multi-tasking skills; a keen eye for detail and be meticulous; effective prioritisation over competing deadlines and tasks; strong communication skills and be able to work effectively with various parties; the ability to work under pressure and be adaptable to change; solid problem-solving and team management skills; An understanding of marketing tools and campaigns.
