BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - SURREY - EVENTS - £22-23K Our client, a market leader in the provision of venue and event management systems, is looking for a confident and outgoing individual for the position of Business Development Manager. You will already have some experience of working in a technology provider and understand how to communicate technological solutions to a broad audience. You will be driven to close deals and meet and exceed your targets. Good communication and presentation skills are essential and an ability to think clearly under pressure. You will be required to meet with prospects within the UK as well as conduct online meetings and telephone calls on a regular basis. Key responsibilities include: Develop and maintain own pipeline of prospects Identify new leads and commercial opportunities Conduct technology demonstration sessions online at client premises, tailoring presentations to each need Consistantly close new business to meet and exceed targets Document all sales activity in the CRM tools, adding valuable information and evaluating and enhancing the sales process Working closely with the marketing team to target opportunities and supporting campaigns Represent the client at event and exhibitions. The successful candidate must have: Excellent presentation skills Able to demonstrate the ability to explain concepts and technical issues to a non-technical audience Outgoing and personable with good sense of humour Have proven sales experience in the B2B/technology sector Be target driven as well as a team collaborator Able to converse clearly and concisely over the phone, quickly building a rapport with prospects Able to develop a clear understanding of the business needs of prospects Capable of analysing problems/situations and recommending appropriate solutions Able to work on own initiative with minimal supervision Able to ask for assistance from specialists when required Able to plan, prioritise and organise workloads, with the ability to work comfortably to, and meet, tight deadlines Demonstrate a willingness to learn/keep abreast of developments in event technology.
