Overview

City & Capital Headhunters are currently representing a highly respected and fast growing asset finance broker who are seeking to appoint a talented and ambitious Sales Manager to lead & drive their London based sales team. You will take responsibility for a high performing and rapidly growing sales team within their London offices whilst undertaking all elements of the day to day running and performance of the London operation. Our client is an instantly recognisable brand within the sector and have been operating with great success in this market for a number of years as they continue to go from strength to strength. The existing sales team has a good blend of experienced high performers, as well as recently recruited graduates, so the ability to adapt your leadership style accordingly is a prerequisite. It is expected that the individual joining within this role at this time will continue to grow the London office in terms of headcount, client numbers and lending volumes. The role itself operates as a member of the leadership team of the group, and is the most senior role outside of the group’s head office. The key to success in this role will be the ability to balance driving a continuous improvement culture, ensuring that all staff are fully on board with all process improvements while increasing client contact levels and lending volumes. This role will work closely with all lenders on the panel to ensure that changes to products and lending criteria and communicated in a timely manner across the business and understood by the sales team. You will be able to demonstrate clear rationale and decision making abilities and will be happy to challenge where required. In addition you will be expected to work closely with the central HR team in terms of recruiting and growing the sales team alongside delivering ongoing training and coaching. In addition you will attend all Senior Management Team meetings at the group’s head office and represent the business at industry and lender events. The ideal individual will have a demonstrable track record of success within a sales management position, preferably within a regulated environment. You will have the analytical capability required to optimise processes together with the passion and energy required to lead and grow a high performance team. Our client is willing to pay up to £60k as a basic salary for the ideal individual, which will be relevant to experience and performance at interview, as you would expect. This will be complemented by a particularly generous bonus scheme. You will be able to work from our clients offices in Central London & will be expected to: Regularly update the Sales Director in terms of team performance to KPI’s and anticipated sales volumes Build & improve sales processes and procedures, as well as the team Deliver outstanding customer experience for new and existing clients Work with and deliver key MI to drive future performance Develop strong relationships with lender partners Quantifiable skills & experience of the ideal individual include: Highly organised & confident in managing own diary/pipeline to time manage key requirements accordingly Ambitious and keen to grow with the business Previous experience of overseeing a structured sales process Proven and demonstratable track record Coaching and mentoring skills An understanding of finance options Proactive approach to resolving issues Strong IT skills and ability to adapt to new IT systems There is a reasonable amount of urgency to fill this position as you might expect, in line with the exciting expansion plans outlined above.
