Overview
A local advertising agency based in Amersham has an exciting opportunity for a Sales Executive to join their team. With 14 printed publications and a print run of 115,000 and growing, the company is set to launch their fourteenth publication later this year. Hyper local advertising really works as local residents receive, read and retain the magazines for longer. The directory magazine is a gem of information, packed full of products and services mainly from local businesses, as well as interesting articles, informative editorials, events, a cookery page, book review, community page, children's page, puzzles and essential local information. Due to growth, they are looking for a Sales Executive to help them sell advertising packages to potential customers in the local area. You will be based in the Amersham office with some occasional travel locally to visit clients. Over 90% of their sales are conducted over the telephone and email, based in their offices in Amersham. Responsibilities: Finding new clients through face to face networking, the internet, other paper-based journals, as well their inhouse database of clients. Signing up customers, invoicing, chasing artwork and completing administration. Negotiating with customers for advertising space. Confirming advertisers for renewal of adverts when packages are near to end. Ensuring client satisfaction regarding service, support and quality of advert including proofing adverts before going to print. Largely telephone-based sales with some face to face visits. Vast majority of time spent making outgoing sales calls followed up by email communication. Assisting with sending mags to print - helping with index, general and local content Crisis managing any unexpected events. From time to time assistance may be required in other duties such as distribution, finance, and providing general admin and support. About you: Previous sales experience prefered but not essential. Excellent communication skills Strong negotiation and persuasive skills. Flexible and hard-working. Passionate with a can do attitude. Presentable, professional and personable. Computer, email and internet proficient. Full induction and training given. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.45pm to 5.45pm, 40 hour week. Full Time or Part Time.
