Overview
Job title: Senior Australasia Tailor Made Sales Specialist Salary: £25,000- £30,000 uncapped comission Location: Amersham, right next to the train and tube station. Easy commute using the Metropolitan line or Chiltern Trains. Hours of work: Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm. Role Purpose: As a Senior Australasia Tailor Made Sales Specialist you will design and sell fantastic Tailor Made itineraries to Australia, NZ and South East Asia, both over the phone and in person, whilst providing exceptional customer service at all times to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business. Key Responsibilities Ensure all leads are followed up in a timely manner, maximizing all revenue streams. Communicate clearly and effectively with clients to establish their travel preferences and requirements, whilst maintaining a close and professional relationship. Prepare detailed itineraries for clients, reflecting as best as possible their interests and selecting the most appropriate flights, accommodation and excursions to match their budget and interests. Take full ownership and pride over the quality and accuracy of the itinerary throughout the process. Availability to travel to the area of specialization and any other APT office location if needed by the business. Convert as many leads as possible into quotes, quotes into bookings and bookings into wonderful trips with unforgettable experiences for our guests. Maintain regular contact with clients and respond in a timely manner, ensuring any changes and operational issues are communicated and understood. Act as a point of contact for the client until they depart on their travels, being accountable for all administration relating to the sale, booking and operation of their trip. Ensure all administration is dealt with and is up to date and accurate. Deal professionally with customer complaints looking to ensure it is resolved to the clients’ satisfaction and work closely with Customer Relations when necessary to deal with escalated customer complaints. Comply with all company procedures during the entire sales process. Hit agreed department booking targets and revenue, providing excellent customer services throughout the process. Ensure good communication channels are always open between you and your colleagues, Head of Tailor Made and Sales & Product Manager, in particular sharing of information. Participate fully in training sessions and at times leading them if it is your specific area of expertise. Attend industry events and exhibitions when requested, that on occasions may be during the weekend. Share knowledge of product, costs and client feedback within the rest of the department, creating a positive, supportive and professional environment. Take appropriate opportunities to upsell and switch sell to APT preferred products. Create and maintain excellent quality product text for our documents as required. Maintain a positive relationship with all suppliers and colleagues having an enthusiastic approach to an ever-changing environment. Contribute to marketing and website content. Taking on additional non-sales related tasks when required due to business needs, particularly product loading, training sessions, assisting in the development of staff or client experience calls. There may be times where the business is extremely busy which may necessitate additional hours or weekend phone cover. Any other duties required. Knowledge / Skills/Experience and Qualifications: Qualified to degree level or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of previous travel industry sales experience in the Tailor Made industry and in depth knowledge of Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. Experience of a busy office environment with good commercial acumen, highly organised and with the ability to manage multiple tasks and/or projects concurrently. A motivated and committed individual with a desire to work to the highest of standards. A cheerful, outgoing and confident person with a high level of initiative who understands the importance of customer service. Best practice approach to problem solving and the ability to think ahead and lead by example. Team player whilst results orientated. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail. Ambition and drive to always perform to the best of your ability.
