Our job is to supply the tools and services - the pots, pans, soups and sauces - they need to work better, faster and safer, leading to better patient outcomes.What you'll doYou will be responsible to drive the Cytiva consumables business within the Wales and South West England region to our biotech, academic, pharma and industrial customers.Success in the role requires very active promotion of products and solutions in the field to the end-users. Responsible consumable product lines are within the research area of protein purification and characterization (Western blotting), laboratory filtration and nucleic acid purification & amplification. As sales takes place mostly via our network of distributors excellent skills and experience to support and motivate our channel partners is required. + Achieve sales targets and customer satisfaction in assigned area. + Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge of Cytiva and competitive products + Develop and maintain customer relationships following key funding opportunities within key accounts + Create end user demand for both direct and indirect customers and spend at least 70% of time in the field + Motivate, encourage and support distributors to promote Cytiva Life Sciences consumables + Sales negotiation and deal closure, interfacing with all key buying influencers such as direct users and decision makers + Promote solution selling by combining all relevant consumables in the customer workflow and find leads for related instruments + Develop and maintain a high level of product knowledge of both GE and competitive products. + Actively use CRM system (Salesforce.com) to ensure transparency and total customer management + Develop long-term relationships with key internal stakeholders (Account Managers, Sales Specialists, Product Managers) within your region helping develop sales of the entire Cytiva Life Sciences portfolio. + Work closely with the Regional Sales Leader and Distribution Manager to: + Identify key distributor needs and act as customer advocate internally to align the business to those needs + Develop and implement local strategic marketing plans to drive business growth + Monitor performance of distributor network within the territory and develop / implement action plans to achieve maximum revenue and margin impact. Develop distributor segmentation and implement improvement plans. + Attend regular distributor reviews, hold product and business presentations and provide training where requested. Who you are + Degree and experience from the field of Life Science or equivalent knowledge + Robust interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with a team + Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process + Demonstrated ability to analyze customer data and develop financially sound sales solutions + Significant consultative sales experience including strategic selling and negotiation in a complex sales environment + Willingness to travel within your specified geographic region with occasional overnight stays + Proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite products + Knowledge of Life Sciences industry and market place trends + Valid driving license + Fluent in English with good knowledge of both written and verbal English Applications from job seekers who require sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications.
