Overview
Business Development Manager Are you a senior sales professional who has experience in event sales and is looking for the next step in your career? I am recruiting for a New Business Manager for my client, a large London based Events Company. This is an excellent, senior role that will require a candidate who is personable and committed and looking to move into a management role over time. You will be tasked with set KPI's however it won't be a boiler room environment - rather there will be a focus on training and development, and a real eye on commission and making revenue for you personally As a FTSE listed company, my client are market leaders in many of their events and still integral in the markets of those that aren't. They're forward thinking and technological - always looking to stay ahead of the 'game.' Key to this role will be to build relationships with existing clients, and forge ones with new customers. Other key responsibilities will include; Becoming a real 'leader in the market' - deep diving in to the events and sector Proactively sourcing and identifying business Continually approaching customers via various means including cold calling, linked in, warm leads etc. Overseeing management of your own pipeline and keeping an eye on company/portfolio development at all times. I am looking for a candidate who has at least three years proven experience in event sales (delegates/sponsorship ideally.) In addition to this you must have; Proven experience in hitting KPI's A highly ambitious, commercial and driven nature Great organisational skills The ability to travel internationally as required Credibility and articulation in your sales pitches The ability to work to tight deadlines A strong technological capability The nous to build rapport and relationships with clients of all ages and backgrounds To apply please If you feel you are not suited to this role but know someone who is please contact us for details of our generous referral scheme.
