Overview
Business Development Manager - BDM - Haulage - Home Based Brooklyn Recruitment are currently working with a Haulage company based in the Burton-upon-Trent area of Staffordshire to recruit a Business Development Manager. This role is within a small friendly sales team and reports directly to the UK Director. Although the office is based in the Burton area you can be home based provided you would be happy to go into the office once a week. In this role as Business Development Manager your first year with be 100% new business and then succeeding years with be retaining and improving sales with existing clients as well as adding new ones. The company focus on automotive and chemical haulage but can transport most goods so you would have a lot of prospects. As Business Development Manager you would be setting your own diary so any overnight stays away would be led by you but aren’t a major part of the role. You may very occasionally have to visit the company’s headquarters in Europe but this would be very rarely. To be suitable for this Business Development Manager’s role within the Haulage sector you should have extensive experience of selling within the domestic Haulage market and be an excellent communicator. You should also be self motivated.
