Overview
Director of Business Development - Development Finance Our client is a new commercial lender set up to finance the growing property development market in the East Midlands. With the backing of an established Building Society, a trusted provider of consumer mortgages and savings products, the business has a strong platform and potential for significant growth. They now have a great opportunity for a proven business development / commercial banking professional to grow the business and take it to the next level. This is a senior role with responsibility for building the pipeline through targeted marketing and by leveraging broker and professional relationships. You will originate and shape deals and manage the end to end process to completion and then onto the eventual sale or refinance of the scheme. Key Responsibilities: Establish and maintain a strong new business pipeline; Develop a business development strategy and clear action plan to grow revenue and profitability; Work closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Credit Risk to ensure high standards of credit analysis; Build and develop strong lasting relationships with clients; and Build and develop a strong network of introducers and brokers. The successful candidate will have previous experience in property development funding with multi-stage drawdown, a track record in business development and the necessary credit skills to be able to assess and structure appropriate lending. The individual will be expected to work autonomously and have strong connections and excellent broker relationships.
