COMPANY DESCRIPTION Our client is an independent conference producer, specialised in the European power sector. They create, promote and deliver high quality technical conferences for the engineering community. They are currently expanding the business and searching for talented individuals to join the high performing conference production team. JOB DESCRIPTION The role involves: Planning - translating the sponsorship sales briefing into a commercially impactful sales plan and script, that conveys the conference value proposition with impact and engages prospect interest with immediacy Account management - exploring existing sponsor and exhibitor relationships to understand their changing business development needs and upsell through creative new packages tailored to individual customer needs New business development - breaking down the supplier landscape and lead generating extensively to identify a greater range of prospects and exceed the per event sales target whilst meeting the 50% new business KPI Call management - utilising salesforce to build and manage the sales pipeline through detailed call logging, appointment management, prospect progression, and deal closing to meet weekly and monthly sales targets Productivity management - making a minimum of 50 calls per day resulting in 10 effective conversations per day to build a pipeline that delivers a minimum of 1 sponsor/exhibitor per sales campaign week Learning & development - proactively keeping abreast of the latest trends in consultative selling through books, newsletters, webinars and forums and seeking feedback and coaching internally to continuously raise your game and maximise your performance Mindset development - participating in the company book club to invest in mindset development and ensure a consistently positive mental attitude, high levels of emotional resilience, and consistent solution orientation Influencing - setting an example of high performance and mentoring graduate sales recruits in preparation for eventual WHO FITS THE BILL 2:1 degree or higher in a Technology/Engineering/Business related subject 1-2 years’ experience in cold calling/ telesales/ conference sales across sponsorship or delegate sales would be ideal Strong intellect, with the ability to switch between analytical and creative thinking Impactful communication; able to influence and persuade senior decision makers, closing high-ticket sales with ease Insightful problem solving; able to handle objections with confidence and ease Resilience; thrives in a high-pressure, deadline driven, target focused environment Positive mental attitude; a glass-half-full attitude, enjoys rising to challenges and stays focused on solutions Leadership quality; sets a great example of self-mastery, colleague mentoring, proactive customer support In return you will benefit from the following; Unparalleled on-the-job training delivered by the highest calibre experts in the industry Structured career path enabling you to leverage your talents, strengths and motivations to climb the ladder of success Opportunity to work across different geographical markets in Europe, USA and Asia An elite team environment where you will learn as much from your colleagues as you will from your managers, trainers and mentors Wellbeing programme including weekly meditation, book club, culture club, fresh fruit, standing desks, last Friday drinks Inspirational programme delivered by external thought leaders to fuel your creativity, ambition and career progression A meritocracy where your efforts are recognised, rewarded, and reciprocated
