Overview
Our client is the world’s leading facilitator of knowledge sharing and business connections and produces several thousand events annually in over 70 countries. Due to continued growth and investment they are looking for Commercial Manager to join their global sponsorship sales team selling bespoke sponsorship opportunities to clients within the energy and maritime sector. It is a very exciting time to join the team, with such a focus on growth in 2019 and new event launches worldwide. This position is best suited to a motivated and confident individual, with solid experience in selling sponsorship opportunities into conferences, how has managed large scale events and floor plans, or had experience in exhibition sales. Our client is a world leading company consistently rated as one of the top companies to work for in the UK, with an opportunity to travel, lucrative client base, career development opportunities and excellent earning potential Key responsibilities: Responsible for achieving and exceeding revenue targets. Increasing yield on previous bookings and grow existing client relationships, identifying opportunities and cross/upsell Gaining new business - telephone, face to face meetings and networking Create relevant and specific sponsorship proposals, manage and report pipelines and sales figures Working closely with internal teams including conference producers, marketing and operations teams ensuring smooth and profitable delivery of each event Managing floor plans The successful candidate will be a star performer who has the ability and passion for sales and who does not leave any potential lead unturned, whilst demonstrating the ability to build relationships with senior clients. Key experience required: Previous successful sponsorship sales experience or exhibition sales experience Confident, comfortable and articulate when communicating via email, phone and excellent face to face sales skills. Experience selling to a varied range of clients including high level managers and directors. Demonstrate a clear understanding of the sales process and implement this into their day to day job Able to sell in a consultative manner and demonstrate the ability to close complex and high value orders Work autonomously, be self-motivated and also be able to work closely with the extended team to ensure the events exceed all expectations Process information quickly, respond logically, and prioritise subsequent actions Time management and good organisational skills are essential as is a strong commercial acumen and good commercial knowledge Salary: £competitive basic, plus uncapped commission and benefits To be considered for this opportunity please submit your CV today, or for more details please contact Caroline
