Sales Manager - Northern Europe - Agriculture, Disinfectants and Dairy Chemicals Salary: negotiable DOE £10,000 (o/e) Commission 20 Holidays ( Bank Holidays) Pension Life Insurance (3x salary) Discounted Share Options Home based: UK or Northern Europe The Requirements of the Sales Manager Ideally you will have a Veterinary background. Through obtaining a PhD in Animal Health, Animal Science or a related subject. Other relevant biology degrees would be considered Must have 2 years minimum sales experience in areas such as or closely related to: Agriculture for Animal Health, quaternary ammonium disinfectants, iodine concentrates, Pharmaceutical disinfectants, Veterinary, Dairy, Poultry or Livestock disinfectants, agricultural disinfectants, medicines/ vaccines/ antibiotics or probiotics Desirable companies/brands could include or relate to: Dupont, Virkon, Kilco or Biolink The Ideal candidate will have a strong contact network for distribution partners of Animal Health products throughout the territory The ability to speak German would be advantageous Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, mark up, margins, proportions, percentages and volume. Familiarity with software packages including: Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and CRM Preferred Veterinary qualification, or related degree would be highly desirable Must hold a current driver’s licence The Role of the Sales Manager Sales Manager Europe. Meets financial and corporate growth objectives by performing essential duties and responsibilities to develop sales across the region Develop customer distribution channels in unoccupied territories, as well as developing existing distribution channels for Biosecurity products and Animal Safety products Distributor score existing channels to verify suitability to meet growth targets Collaborates with wide variety of functional areas such as sales, marketing, communications, QA/QC, R&D to develop and refine our product portfolio to meet customer needs and market opportunities Identify market potential and market strategy, to manage products through introduction and development Conducts market research and feed back to Product Manager and Marketing Identifies and records all customer information to CRM program Support training materials and executes product training to new and existing customers for new product introductions and assigned product lines Maintains communications and industry contacts to collect technical, financial, marketing, and sales information to support assigned product lines Conducts evaluation of competitor products Will conduct pre-contract liaisons and participate in contract negotiation activities Support complaints process related to product performance, product evaluations, and field testing until situation is rectified Attend industry trade shows and related meetings to promote the products and services, increase knowledge of market and competitors, as well as identify R&D pipeline opportunities Initiate a rolling 12 Month forecast for all major products.
