Accounts Payable Assistant

Job Description
* Are you an experienced accounts payable professional? * Do you have knowledge of cashbook and treasury functions? * Are you a proactive, professional individual who can take initiative? Euromonitor are looking for a new member of the finance team in London to work primarily in the accounts payable team but also provide support for the cashbook team. The finance department are a diverse team who are friendly, supportive, social and great to work with. To be considered you must have experience in accounts payable, cashbook & treasury and multi-currency. Key responsibilities (not limited to): * Review supplier invoices for authorization and duplication * Review and verify London staff expense claims * Accurately coding and posting onto Sage Line 100 for London, Japan and Dubai * Set up weekly payment runs for all allocated countries and ensure payments are processed on time * Send out remittance advices to London suppliers * Respond to all payment/invoice queries from staff and suppliers * Assist with journal postings at month end as required * To work on banking and other reconciliations where required and in providing auditors with information * Assist with reconciliation & query resolution of creditor ledgers Requirements * Experience in accounts payable * An understanding of cashbook function * Experience working in a multi-currency finance department dealing with accounts payable, cashbook & treasury functions * Excellent communication and organisational skills, superb attention to detail and the ability to work on your own initiative * Be proactive in the duties of the role and work well with the team to meet deadlines * Ability to multitask and prioritise a busy workload * Can hit the ground running & work well autonomously * Understanding of UK VAT * Knowledge of SAGE systems is desirable * Knowledge of Word would be beneficial, but Excel intermediate level is essential Due to high levels of applicants we will not be able to respond to all candidates who apply.
