We are hiring for a market leader in specialist business software, seeking a Business Development Executive to grow their team and take the UK function of this global brand to the next level. Candidates must come from software sales backgrounds (Ideally SAAS), and be used to not only giving demos and closing deals but ideally have experience of selling face to face as well. Candidates that are only coming from lead generation backgrounds that haven't actually closed and billed subscriptions will not be considered. The Business Development Executive role is a hybrid remote and field role, depending on the clients needs for the demo and whether they are happy to do it remotely or want you to attend their office, as there is a field elements candidates will need to be able to drive. In terms of the role itself leads and opportunities will be funnelled into the role through a very strong and successful global marketing strategy, these come in a range of formats from confirmed requests for demos or data on people that have been investigating their products, and are flagged as potentially being interested. There Will be some cold work, but this will not be calling companies out of the blue, but on data passed on about them and their activities. Most of the sales work will be done through Salesforce so any experience of this or other similar CRM would be an advantage. As this is a SAAS product, candidates must be apt at solution selling methods and value-proposition techniques. On a day to day basis you will be contacting companies, scoping market opportunities, giving demos, closing subscriptions, growing accounts, managing your pipeline and adding strategic value into the sales team in terms of opportunities. As outlined candidates must have experience either within software sales ideally within a SAAS environment and not just lead generation. You must be incredibly tech savvy able to use both CRM systems and giving virtual demos. Based in Stevenage this software house is growing and they plan to increase the headcount even further over the next few years, so there will be plenty of career opportunities to progress into Account Management. Commutable locations for the position are Bedford, Luton, Milton Keynes, Stevenage, Cambridge, St Neots, Huntingdon, Hitchin, Letchworth, Royston, St Ives, Haverhill, Watford, Hemel Hempstead and Welwyn Garden City.
