Our client is looking for Business Analyst


The duties to be performed include, but are not limited to the following:


Examines and analyzes proposed software solution implementations to stakeholders to clearly illustrate advantages, disadvantages, and business value as indicated by the Manager – Applications Support.

Examines upon the lead from the Manager – Applications Support the existing trends of both internal and external customers to identify new opportunities or to strengthen existing technological shortcomings.

Documents and reports on research findings as indicated by the Manager – Applications Support.

Assists the Manager – Applications Support in defining IT requirements for stakeholders.

Assists business stakeholders in the selection of new products and services that will integrate into the IT ecosystem and makes proposals to the Manager – Applications Support.

Works with the Project Coordinator and vendors to ensure project completion as indicated by the Manager – Applications Support.

Supports the Manager – Applications Support in resolving issues as they occur and recommend fixes that will eliminate issues and improve business operations.

Works on maintenance activities and develops small to medium programs and/or reports to help the Bank meet its business objectives as indicated by the Manager – Applications Support.

Works with cross-functional, distributed teams where there will be an opportunity to do technical analysis, code testing, develop code, gather data, etc; as indicated by the Manager – Applications Support.

Assists the Manager – Applications Support in analyzing industry trends for key insights on automation, machine learning, and its use for AI in the business strategy.

Evaluates potential investments through industry and financial statement analysis, as well as primary due diligence.

Interacts with community groups under the guidance of the Manager – Applications Support to assist with software banking technology in order to understand new developments, trends, strategies, and technology roadmaps.

 


Requirements:


A minimum first degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is mandatory.

A Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Information Systems would be an asset.

At least one Professional Certification in ITIL, Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or Business Analysis (e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI-PBA).

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a business analyst role, particularly in IT or software development environments.

Proficiency in business analysis tools and software such as JIRA, Confluence or Microsoft Visio.

Strong understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.

Knowledge of automation, machine learning, and AI concepts.

Proficiency in SQL, and basic programming knowledge is desirable.

Proficient in financial statement analysis and evaluating potential investments.

Ability to analyze complex business requirements and design IT solutions.

Strong focus on accuracy and detail, particularly in documentation and reporting.

Proactive in identifying potential issues and providing effective solutions.
