Company:Guy Carpenter Description: Analytics Liaison Support (UK) - London What you can expect: * You will be operating within the Infrastructure Services team, a part of Guy Carpenter Information Technology (GCIT) * This is a new role in the UK working alongside peers globally where you arepart of a high leveloperation, trained by peers and management,developingcommunications, leading and representing whilst managing expectations at senior levels within the business * In your first 3 months you will undertake key training learning the business side, CAT Modelling and the analytics side, managing smaller projects and leading projects and be trained by peers and management * Long term you will work alongside your manager representing and managing expectations with minimal guidance, meet key stakeholders and senior business leads whilstcreating long term relationships What is in it for you? * Working within a role that will give you the opportunity for personal growth working with the latest industry technologies, liaising with top talent whilst being empowered to aim high within a team who are passionate about the role they do * Benefits include Pension, Life and health cover, private medical, flexible benefits * Discretionary bonus * 26 days holiday * Flexible working We will count on you to: * Work with Guy Carpenter Analytics teams to develop & design workflows aligned to enhancing operational efficiencies around vendor software platforms & infrastructure usage * Engage modelling vendor partners to implement effective solutions for greater efficiency in the use of their tools * Assist in GC Cloud initiatives developing administrative, usage & workflow guidelines across the engagement process * Build productive relationships with other Guy Carpenter & MMC teams (Business & IT) to enhance opportunities to improve workflow & process * Relationship management role specifically as anInterface between GC business and IT * Understand Guy Carpenter's key business drivers demonstrating a working knowledge and synergy with the CAT modelling process * Work proactively with Guy Carpenter Analytics teams across multiple time zones in this Global role * Build a working knowledge around understanding the correct application of software license and published use restrictions (contract language understanding) * Stay current with vendor product direction in order to ensure Guy Carpenter designs can be optimized in line with predicted future change * Assist in training initiatives in the use of our environments and recognise trends to highlight and address common, repetitive problems * Ensure ITIL best practices are followedand specifically,service delivery skills including SLA definition, management and reporting against adherence * Perform incident/problem management proactively with Guy Carpenter IT teams, internal and external vendor partners and business users * Drive the resolution of variety of critical incidents or problems * Track and report the status to all levels of business users * Define requirements and scope, manage and implement infrastructure projects * Project/Initiative reporting including, key highlights, milestone status,risk identification mitigationstrategies What you need to have: * Significantexperience working in the Insurance/Finance industryand involvement with Catastrophe Modelling tools * Degree in IT or related industryor equivalent * Prince 2 Practitioner/Equivalent in project management * ITIL V3/4 Foundation * Ability to work with senior IT and business staff * Have asolid understanding ofrelationship management,project delivery, service management(ITIL) principles * A positive attitude and excellent communication skills to effectively share expertise and knowledge What makes you stand out: * Understanding of ITIL service * Microsoft PowerBI and reporting * Microsoft Azure knowledge * Ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences * Demonstrate a creative, proactive, logical and innovative approach to all activities being undertaken * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work independently or with limited direction GUY CARPENTER Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC is a leading global risk and reinsurance specialist with more than 3,100 professionals in over 60 offices around the world.
