Line of Service Tax Industry/Sector Not Applicable Specialism General Tax Consulting Management Level Senior Associate Job Description & Summary A career in our Personal Tax Compliance practice, within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. You'll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions. Our team helps individuals and families comply with US Federal and State tax filing rules. You'll focus on tax policy changes related to tax returns, US and international tax reporting, tax payments and Internal Revenue Service communications. Job Responsibilities * Prepare and review US Federal and State individual tax returns, tax equalization and cost projection calculations. * Communicate with clients and other PwC offices. * Draft correspondences to the IRS or state tax authorities in relation to tax notices or audits * Assist in conducting tax research relating to individual taxation issues. * Review payroll reporting and withholding for wages paid. * Conduct arrival and departure meetings. Requirements Knowledge Preferred: * For Senior Associate , A minimum of three year's experience in US individual income tax. For Associate, 1 year experience in US individual income tax and acceptable for new graduates. * Working knowledge of individual income tax planning for employee cross-border movements including foreign national and US expatriate issues, foreign tax compliance and the tax equalization process. * Working knowledge of managing international assignees of multi-national clients. * Experience in Chinese individual income tax would be advantageous. Skills Preferred: * Proficient technical skills in US individual income tax compliance and expatriate tax program policy knowledge. * Demonstrated experience identifying and addressing client needs: actively participating in client discussions and meetings, managing engagements including preparing concise, accurate documents. * Strong analytical and organizational skills. * Good interpersonal and communication skills. * Energetic and responsible person with an eye for detail. * A team player. Others: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent. * Working towards an Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (AICPA) designation. * Fluency in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
