Job Description

Quality Controller - 2 vacancies Coulter Elite Resourcing, Recruitment Specialists are now recruiting for a Quality Controller for our reputable client. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Quality Controller to join a wholesale distributor to leading UK retailers. Quality Controller Quality auditing of the product on intake, packing and out loading to ensure all products are to customer & Internal specifications. Reporting to the Quality Section Leader, you be responsible for the Quality auditing, intake and packing to ensure all products are to customer & Internal specifications. Key tasks and responsibilities: * To inspect/assess incoming raw material according to the intake procedures and document / report all findings. * Temperature checking of product and actions in accordance with Temperature Procedure. * To identify non-conforming product and agree corrective actions with internal functions. * To fully complete and send supplier reports within agreed time scales, with supportive photographs and details for claim. * Responsible to ensure claims are reflective of the raw material specification. * Support the business when surveyor (loss adjuster) is required to assess loads. * Identify ways to reduce claims from supply base & follow up on corrective action. * To perform stock re-evaluations as requested through stock age requests. Essential Skills/Experience Previous experience in a quality assurance/control role is beneficial (experience within the fmcg industry would be an advantage). * Excellent planning and organisational skills. * Problem solving and analytical skills. * Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. To be considered you must be able to demonstrate a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills and strong problem-solving ability. If you are an experienced Quality Controller, experience within fresh produce this would be advantage.
