Role Overview In the current situation surrounding Coronavirus, the safety and security we provide to our customers, their premises and our staff continues to be our priority. We are taking steps to ensure our selection and onboarding processes can continue during this time in the safest way possible. Unfortunately, this does mean we are currently unable to offer the opportunity to put you through the training course required to obtain your SIA licence, therefore we can only consider applications from licenced candidates at this time. As a Receptionist at G4S, you'll be a key part of our security team ensuring that all visitors / clients are welcomed in a professional manner, ensuring the premises security whilst providing excellent customer service with a smile. You'll be the first person visitors meet on arrival so this role is key to creating a professional and friendly atmosphere - from ensuring the reception area is presentable, to assisting with refreshments and ensuring requests are dealt with in a timely manner. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent customer service in a safe and secure environment. It's a varied role where no two days will be the same. You'll be handling incoming phone calls and managing the switchboard, through to coordinating meeting room booking and arranging hospitality services where required. You'll be an integral part of the security operation, ensuring the correct protocols and procedures are adhered to, such as the issuing of visitors badges and site access, and dealing with any breaches or incidents as required. With a keen eye for detail and a brilliant way with people, you could look forward to an interesting role with exciting career opportunities. The Ideal Candidate With previous experience within a similar role, you will need to be aged 18 or over, a confident communicator who is a team player with the drive to provide a friendly and professional service at all times. A good IT knowledge and attention to detail is also essential for this role. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to deal with difficult situations in a calm and effective way whilst demonstrating empathy and sensitivity. You must be flexible and available to work on a varied shift pattern which could include days, nights and weekends.
