What you'll do + The Director will formulate and manage the innovation pipeline ensuring the business invests in the technologies and capabilities needed to stay ahead of the competition and maintain/gain market leadership in areas of strategic importance for the Genomics and Cellular Research business. + Provide business development leadership for various Genomics & Cellular Research businesses. + Work closely with the business staff to support a wide range of business development activities, including mergers and acquisitions, collaborations, licensing and alliances. Perform market analysis, identify targets, lead due diligence efforts, and assist in structuring/negotiating deals. + The Director will attend and present at the Genomics & Cellular Research extended leadership team meetings. Who you are + Bachelor's Degree or minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience in the genomics, imaging, filtration and cell analysis. + Possess process, product and market expertise, with detailed knowledge of the breadth of products/technologies that form each of the sub-segments of the Genomics and Cellular Research business. + Demonstrated experience in strategy formation, market analysis, competitive landscaping and business development. + Ability to synthesize multiple data points to create strategic point of view which can be communicated in a simple message. + Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and creative problem-solver. + Ability to interface with both internal team members and external customers as part of solutions-based sales approach. Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail. + Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within an organization. + Ability to travel nationally and internationally. + Rare combination of "thinker" and "do'er" with a strong aptitude for understanding strategic goals then building and executing the tactics to accomplish them.
