The site is a high performing manufacturing site, printing cartons for the food and beverage industry. The HRBP is responsible for leading implementation of core HR programs and employee-related initiatives to ensure an effective, sustainable people strategy over the long term. The HRBP serves as employee champion, managing a multi-functional HR Department including compensation, employment, benefits, training and employee relations for circa 120 employees. This role is responsible for developing talent strategies to increase workforce diversity, optimize core and pivotal talent, and ensure a robust talent pipeline for the future. This position has one direct report. You will also be part of a dynamic European HR team and have opportunities to network, develop yourself and work on implementing European projects. How you will impact WestRock Support the leaders of the business and their direct reports and ensure the HR function adapts to meet the strategic direction required. Ensure professional expert HR advice is consistently delivered across the location Coach, mentor and support the management teams, specifically when dealing with change management. Provide professional guidance and support with any re-organisations that may be appropriate as WestRock continues to expand with a goal of providing world-class customer and employee experience. Promote employee and organizational development including leadership development, succession planning, performance management programs, skills gap analysis, and individual career development. Implement country HR programs by providing human resources services according to global & EU policies and pro-actively manage the alignment of internal practices with regulatory developments. This includes compliance policies (e.g. Code of Conduct, Privacy, and Competition Law) and projects, the integrity and completeness of employee contracts & documents. Keep a focus on standardization of HR policies, practices and documents within the location and country, leading to increased consistency and equity Development Employee Engagement plans, in line with results from the engagement survey and the European Engagement strategy. Increase employee engagement year on year. Create and maintain Organizational Reviews, building strategies and executing on tactical plans to build bench strength in succession planning. Talent Acquisition (Recruitment): Based on SLA, cooperate with central Talent Acquisition Department on staffing issues to ensure timely staffing of all open positions; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes. Compensation & Benefits: Based on SLA, cooperate with central Compensation and Benefits Department on maintenance of a total compensation plan; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and where required scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions to ensure people are paid competitively. Organization Development & Learning: Take a lead role in supporting and coaching managers and team leaders in driving a high-performance culture and supporting a positive employee relations climate. Based on SLA, cooperate with central OD and Learning Department on related projects. Based on regular personal contact and mutual trust, solicit input from key customers and initiate actions as required. Performance Management: Ensure improvement, planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee performance by counseling managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors. Help managing incentive plans. Industrial & Employee Relations: Manage day to day activity directly with Union and local representatives and officials. Support the business to manage grievance and disciplinary processes and sensitively respond to ad hoc employee relations issues as they arise. Planning & Budgeting: Where applicable, prepare budgets and plans to meet production and shift requirements, ensuring that we our resources are pro-actively managed to meet Business needs Provide, clear guidance support, leadership and direction to your direct reports.
